Chloe Kitts has been a star player for the South Carolina Gamecocks over the last few years. She joined the program in 2022 and became a starting forward the following year. She has won an NCAA Tournament and an SEC Tournament MVP with the Gamecocks.
Last year, her sister Kylee Kitts became a college basketball player, representing the Ohio State Buckeyes as a guard. She played 30 games for the Buckeyes. Kylee was ranked No. 25 in the country in the 2025 recruiting class.
Seeing her younger sister take major strides in basketball is a source of pride for Chloe. However, she is not happy with how fast she’s growing up. Chloe responded with a three-word message to Kylee’s recent Instagram photo dump while reposting Kylee’s picture on her Instagram story:
“stop growing up.”
In her freshman year, Kylee averaged 7.4 points and 5.6 rebounds while shooting 43.2%. Kylee had her career-best performance in a 76-75 win over the then-No. 8 Maryland Terrapins, scoring 18 points with eight rebounds, three assists and one steal while shooting 53.8%, including 60.0% from the 3-point line.
Chloe, on the other hand, had to sit out the 2025 season due to a torn ACL she suffered during a scrimmage in October. Because of that injury, she decided to stay with the Gamecocks for one more season before moving to the WNBA.
Chloe Kitts Became Part of Nike’s Blue Ribbon Elite NIL Program
Nike has a 10-year partnership with South Carolina. Earlier this month, it announced five new additions to its Blue Ribbon Elite NIL program: Chloe Kitts alongside Joyce Edwards (basketball), Nyck Harbor (football), LaNorris Sellers (football) and Dylan Stewart (football).
“I’m excited to be one of South Carolina’s first Nike Blue Ribbon Elite athletes. Being part of Gamecock women’s basketball has given me a platform to create amazing partnerships, and this is another chance to partner with the best. Nike is an iconic brand that is globally known for making the best basketball footwear and apparel, and I can’t wait to get to see what we can do together,” Kitts said in the official statement.
South Carolina AD Jeremiah Donati said that the partnership with Nike will help student-athletes grow their brands, and the school will continue to partner with the company to find more opportunities for their players.
