Azzi Fudd is possibly one of the most famous and biggest names in women’s college basketball. After winning the national championship with Geno Auriemma and Paige Bueckers’ UConn last year, Fudd has performed at the highest level. She has led the team well and shown she is ready for the next step. There was never a doubt about her talent and ability on the court. However, one chink in her armor was injuries.
Fudd played her maximum games in one season last year, and continued that fitness in her redshirt senior season. Now UConn is having an unbeaten season and she is a big part of that success. In 31 undefeated games, she is averaging 17.9 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3 assists per game. After coming back to full fitness, she has been pulling career high numbers.
With abundance of talent and skill set, Azzi Fudd is also a fan favorite. She is often called ‘People’s Princess’ and weirdly enough also has some type of favoritism from Geno Auriemma, at least that’s what her teammates feel. All in all, Azzi Fudd has certainly built up a huge star status with No. 1 WNBA draft pick within grasp. She might just end up being the first draft pick and as for her NIL deals, she has just signed the latest and quite possibly her biggest.
Azzi Fudd has officially signed a NIL deal with Nike’s Jordan Brand. Fudd joins UConn legends like Maya Moore, Napheesa Collier and teammate Sarah Strong to become an athlete affiliated with Michael Jordan’s brand. And nobody was more excited to welcome her to the fam other than her teammate Sarah Strong.
The UConn sophomore dropped 2 words to express her excitement as Azzi Fudd and Jordan brand posted on IG with the announcement.
