The UConn fans loved Paige Bueckers and her girlfriend Azzi Fudd’s on-court chemistry and off-court bond. So naturally, the news of them dating created a buzz, and fans adored the couple.
Fast forward almost a year, and it might be time for UConn fans to get excited again. Fudd is touted as the No. 1 pick, and if that happens, she would end up playing with Bueckers at the Dallas Wings. Bueckers recently reacted to that possibility.
A reporter asked what she feels about Fudd probably landing in Dallas. Bueckers answered with a chuckle:
“That would be exciting. I don’t know all that I can say or what the future holds. But obviously, we’ve had a lot of games won under our belt. Won a national championship together. So, I think there’s great success in that. But I guess time will tell.”
Bueckers fulfilled her dream of winning a national championship with the UConn Huskies after opting for her redshirt senior season. Not only did she win the NCAA title with that decision, but she also ended up as the first pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft. After the season ended, then-UConn teammates Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd revealed that they were dating.

Before the Final Four game, a reporter asked Paige Bueckers how the nerves are ahead of the big game. Bueckers said, with a sigh of relief, that she has had her fair share of stress and anxiety of wanting to win a national championship.
She continued talking about how she believes once the game tips off, she will probably get into it more as she supports her former team, the Huskies. She said she was relaxed, but that was surely going to change during the game, and it did. Paige Bueckers was seen with Diana Taurasi and Kaitlyn Chen during the Final Four game.
