Lauren & Sienna Betts’ 7 Ft Dad Steals the Limelight Even as UCLA Seal Final Four Berth

UCLA Bruins sister duo Lauren and Sienna Betts are in the Final Four as they won the Elite Eight matchup against the Duke Blue Devils in the presence of their parents.

Lauren and Sienna were born to former pro basketball player Andy Betts and former college volleyball player at Long Beach State, Michelle Betts. The couple was at Golden 1 Center, Sacramento, to watch their daughters play in the NCAA Tournament.

Lauren Betts, who started the game at center, played 38 minutes for 23 points (on 9-14 shooting from the field), 10 rebounds, three assists, one steal and five blocks. Her sister, Sienna, who was the first player to come off the bench, played six minutes for four points, on 2-3 shooting from the field.

The duo posed with their 7-foot-1 father, Andy and the trio were later joined by their mother in a warm video post the 70-58 win in the Elite Eight.

Andy’s height was a big reason behind the post’s virality.

“Wait how tall is he lol,” one fan wrote.

“Dang!! How tall is pops??!” one fan added.

“Lauren 6’7 dad has to be at least 7’1 !!!” one fan remarked.

“Glad they inherited all of dad’s genes,” one fan commented.

“I understand it now. Hadn’t seen the dad before,” another wrote.

“Dad is a giant,” one fan added.

Everything to Know About Lauren And Sienna Betts’ Parents

Fans’ questions regarding the reason behind the massive frame of both sisters were answered when they saw their 7-foot father, Andy Betts.

Andy has played across Europe and for the Great Britain and England national basketball teams. He was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets in the 1998 NBA Draft. Because of his basketball career, Lauren and Sienna Betts were born and raised partly in Spain.

Meanwhile, their mother, Michelle, won a national championship in college volleyball in 1993. The 5-foot-9 mother was an outside hitter for Long Beach State. The team went 27-2 in the regular season and defeated Penn State in the national championship.

Michelle and Andy also share a son named Dylan, who has also taken after Sienna and his father in terms of height. The 7-foot-2 center is a high school freshman and is part of the 2028 recruiting class.
