Kim Mulkey’s LSU Tigers had a big game to kick off the women’s NCAA tournament, and on a day that could change careers and break dreams, a formal suit would be a logical choice of wardrobe. At least, that appeared to be Mulkey’s thought process on what to wear to the biggest game of the year.
Mulkey arrived on site in business attire, according to a video posted on X on Friday by LA Reporter Chessa Bouche.
Mulkey wore a purple suit-like top with beige khakis. However, the suit had a few notable tweaks, including white dots and a tiger on the back. As such, it might not be something one would wear to a job interview, but it certainly did the job in a college basketball setting.
Mulkey’s powersuit set a tone, and her players delivered, sending a message to the league that the team is one to be feared.

The powersuit appeared to give her players superpowers as the Tigers eviscerated the 24-9 Jacksonville Dolphins by a score of 116-58.
Guard Flau’jae Johnson led the team in scoring with 20 points, but two other players finished with a similar number of points. Fellow guard Mikaylah Williams finished with 18 points, while guard Jada Rucard scored 17 points and guard ZaKiyah Johnson finished with 16 points.
The shooting was nearly perfect for ZaKiyah, with six made shots on seven attempts. Richard was also impressive with eight completed field goals on 10 attempts. The team was also nearly perfect in free throws, with three players finishing with 100% accuracy on at least four attempts.
Of course, the tournament is far from over, and Mulkey’s squad will need to take care of business against the Texas Tech Lady Raiders at 3 p.m. EST on Sunday.
However, considering how explosive the team looked in the first round, Texas Tech will need its best to compete.
