Kim Mulkey’s LSU Tigers routed the Jacksonville Dolphins this Friday night, with a 116-58 result in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. The game positions the Tigers as one of the stronger contenders on their side of the enormous Big Dance bracket.
The margin of the win came courtesy of a starting lineup in which every player scored 10 points or more. Flau’jae Johnson led the way with 20 points, followed by Mikaylah Williams and Jada Richard with 17 and 18 points, respectively. Even two players on the bench, Grace Knox and MiLaysia Fulwiley, managed to score 10 points or more on the night.
The Tigers have cemented their position as one of the favorites to win the Sacramento 2 Regional. Next, they will play the winner between Texas Tech and Villanova, which are set to clash tonight.
