Iowa State Cyclones have been a fighting team this season. They are 11th in the Big 12, with a 15-5 record. Both Audi Crooks and Jada Williams have been leading their team from the front this season. Crooks has played 19 games this campaign, while Williams has played 20.
Center Crooks has had a dominant season, with a career-best 26.8 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game. Williams, on the other hand, is slowly and steadily finding her groove. She averages 13.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 7.7 assists per game, all three of those stats being her career-best.
They have lost five games against Baylor, Cincinnati, West Virginia, Colorado, and Oklahoma State. However, these losses would not worry them much. The concerning part about those losses is that all five came in a row. They were unbeaten for 14 straight games, but suddenly lost all momentum and suffered these defeats. Crooks’ form dipped, and Williams was also struggling a bit.
The latter led them back to winning ways as they took revenge on Cincinnati in their most recent game. Other than ripping apart Cincinnati, Jada Williams also had a stern message for all the doubters.
After dropping an unbelievable 44 points against Cincinnati, Jada Williams attended a press conference and said:
“Yeah, the statement is that we belong here. We belong in the top 25. We are a tournament team. We are a sweet 16 team, and I think we all believe that and if people don’t believe in us then that does not affect us. I think it goes in one ear and goes out the other. So I think as long as we believe in each other. We still pour into each other every single day, work our butts off and I think that’s the only thing that matters.”

Fans online were impressed with Jada’s belief and her conviction towards Iowa State.
