Hannah Hidalgo has been one of the most talented basketball players in the last few years. Ever since her debut in the 2023-24 season, everybody knew she was a special talent. She started all her games in the freshman season and has been one of the most important players for her team, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. She has been a major part of coach Niele Ivey’s plans for years now.
Her partnership with Olivia Miles made them one of the best duos in college basketball. Even after Miles left for TCU, Hidalgo has continued to perform at the highest level. In 28 games this season, Hidalgo has been averaging 25 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 5.4 assists. She is producing career-high numbers and has now broken an impressive record that was held by Iowa State’s Audi Crooks.
Hannah Hidalgo has scored a minimum of 10 points in every game of her career. She now has the longest streak of games with double-digit points among active college basketball players. Crooks had it for 93 games, and Hidalgo now has 95 games.
She has also been a great leader for Niele Ivey’s team. Her fiery, intense, and passionate presence on the court is one of her strongest features. Notre Dame has had a decent season so far. It hasn’t been what they might have aimed for, but it has still shown the potential of what it can be. Notre Dame is the seventh seed right now and is ready for the March Madness.
