Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White was recently asked which teams stand in the way of Azzi Fudd, Sarah Strong, and the rest of the UConn Huskies in the ongoing March Madness.
White seemed confident about the Huskies’ abilities and appreciated their efficiency and depth. However, she named two SEC giants who can be threats to Geno Auriemma’s team.
The Fever head coach first named Texas and then gave Dawn Staley’s South Carolina an “outside look,” saying she doesn’t believe this year’s Gamecocks squad has “enough offensive firepower” to beat UConn.

“Stephanie white just tell us you haven’t watch enough SC women’s basketball instead of making stuff! I rather she just said you don’t think they deep enough than we don’t have enough scoring when The whole starting five average double scoring,” one fan reacted.
“She crazy as hell we beating that a**, UCONN has literally played nobody. LSU highest scoring team in WBB history and SC beat that a** twice,” another fan added.
“It’s not time to worry about beating UConn. There’s no guarantee UConn will make it to the championship. Remember Mississippi St? South Carolina is focused on what’s currently in front of them, Oklahoma. They’ll cross the UConn bridge when they get to it, “ another fan shared.
“Don’t be outchea asking for any SC players to join your roster,” another fan said.

”& what top teams have UConn beaten beside mid tier ranked teams? Meanwhile SC has beaten the #4 #5 #6 team in the country along with other ranked wins. At least SC is battle tested can we say the same for UConn??” another fan questioned.
Andraya Carter Puts Her Bet on the UConn Huskies as March Madness Winners
Jordan Rodgers asked Andraya Carter during their recent conversation on “ESPN Get Up” if it was UConn and all the other teams left in the game, who she would choose.
Carter didn’t hesitate before naming UConn as her ‘ride or die,’ saying the team is so hard to play against because of the versatility that Sarah Strong brings, her ability to score as a post player, and with Azzi Fudd shooting over 45% from beyond the arc.
“I know it’s March Madness and anything can happen, but in UConn versus the field, I’m taking UConn,” she said.
Fudd had a career-high kind of a game in Storrs with 34 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds.
