South Carolina Gamecocks head coach Dawn Staley recently crossed paths with former US Vice President Kamala Harris during the latter’s book tour stop in Columbia, South Carolina. Harris was there to promote her book 107 Days, which was released on Sept. 23.
107 Days is a behind-the-scenes account of Harris’ 2024 presidential campaign, which lasted just 107 days, after then-current president Joe Biden left the race.
Staley took to X and dropped photos from her meeting with Harris. She also asks her fans to read and get their copy of “107 Days.”
“Good am my good peeps! Rise and shine! @KamalaHarris did her big one in Columbia, SC last night! MP yes MP we are all blessed to have you, hear you and be inspired by you! Get your copy or your second or third copy of #107days,” Staley wrote on X.
With the tweet, Staley also attached a video where Harris is standing with fellow Gamecocks players and giving a shout-out to the head coach. She said:
“Coach Dawn, your players, the most extraordinary, excellent, proven to be winners, so talented, so inspired and inspirational. I am so happy that they are here. We love you. We thank you. And I’ll talk to you soon. Love you, Coach.”
This left many fans disturbed as they took a dig at Harris.
“That video shows how clueless she is,” one fan wrote.
“Bad take Dawn but you have the right to choose. That’s what America stands for. Blessed she did not win and you can look at her track record to see. Go cocks!” one fan added.
“Can always count on Heels Up for a good incoherent word salad. I’m sure she gave a wonderful speech 🥴 Here’s to hoping she blows through another $1.5 billion in Dem donations just to finish a distant 2nd in the next election!” another commented.
“Dawn can you tell us one good thing she has done in her career? I will wait!” another added.
“Come on, Coach. You can’t be inspired by that lady. She’s a buffoon. Just listen to her talk. she makes zero sense. And she doesn’t care at all for the average American. Don’t care what ur politics are but to support Kamala Harris…ur smarter than that,” one fan added.
“Seriously – Was Kamala drunk? Seriously,” another wrote.
Kamala Harris Once Visited Dawn Staley’s Gamecocks
Back in Jan. 2024, Kamala Harris visited the court at Colonial Life Arena alongside South Carolina coach Dawn Staley to see Gamecocks players practice for their game against Kentucky.
The Gamecocks players welcomed her with cheers and claps and some even gave her a high-five.
Last September, Staley shared a selfie during a stage visit in Philadelphia. She showed admiration for Harris, even calling her leadership “inspiring” on social media.
“MVP @kamalaharris continues to show her leadership, her strength and her resilience in person with me and my Philly peeps…AND in her new book #107Days. Go get your copy by supporting your local bookstores,” she wrote in the caption.
Kamala Harris has already dropped hints that she will consider running for the Oval Office again in 2028.
