Dawn Staley vs Kim Mulkey is always a blockbuster clash. LSU vs South Carolina. Two teams at the peak of their powers. South Carolina are top of the table with 10-1 conference record and 24-2 overall. LSU, on the other hand, are 8-3 in SEC play and 22-3 overall. The two teams have battled out some great games.

Especially when the two sides met last season, there was a lot of noise around how LSU fans were trash talking the South Carolina team and specifically Dawn Staley. The crowd boo’ed Dawn Staley and Staley answered back in amazing fashion. She joked and said that the crowd was calling her boo. This time around the South Carolina coaching staff decided to give LSU a fitting response.
Dawn Staley and South Carolina’s coaching staff wore custom hoodies with “boo” written on them ahead of the LSU game. And fans were loving it.
“Iconic moment,” one fan said.
“Probably the greatest answer to a media question – EVER!!” one fan claimed.
“And we love our boo and don’t play about none of them! Not to much on the girls LSU!” another commented.
“Dawn is the true trollgawd!!!” one fan exclaimed.
“If you love sports, you love Dawn,” another expressed.
“I lost it when I saw the sweatshirt on TV,” one fan shared.
Dawn Staley’s South Carolina Extend Their Dominance Over Kim Mulkey’s LSU
South Carolina has now won 18 straight games vs LSU. Tessa Johnson led the Gamecocks with 21 points while Joyce Edwards, Medina Okot and Raven Johnson also ended the game with double digits (10,12 and 19, respectively). Medina Okot stepped up in grand fashion as she got a double-double with 17 rebounds and 12 points.
LSU, in an extremely close matchup, fell short by 7 points as the game ended 79-72. Flau’jae Johnson was the top scorer for LSU tonight with 21 points. Mikaylah Williams also grabbed 11 points but clearly that wasn’t enough. It was clear that they needed structure and there was not much support for Flau’jae Johnson.
