It is now the offseason and the transfer portal is now closed, which means coaches and players get to relax in their off times, but South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley still found time to poke fun at her players.
The coaching legend, who made it all the way to the national championship game again, commented on Gamecocks star Alicia Tournebize’s outfit as she was out and about and enjoying a girls’ night out.
In her outfit that night, Alicia Tournebize wore an outfit that is a bit revealing, and this was where Staley chimed in, with the French forward replying to her comment.
“Now Ali! Where are your clothes?!!! 😩😩😩 🤣🤣🤣.” commented Dawn Staley
“@staley05 my bad Coach😔🤣🤣🤣🤣,” replied Alicia Tournabize

The 6-foot-3 French forward held the fort as star power forward Chloe Kitts suffered a season-ending ACL tear that needed surgery. She averaged 4.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, 0.4 assists and 0.7 blocks per game. She was still a freshman last season but is expected to get even more playing time as she enters her sophomore year at South Carolina.
Tournebize had been a rebounding machine during the NCAA Tournament, posting six rebounds in that national final loss against UCLA and a massive 11 rebounds against Southern in her March Madness debut during the first round despite only playing in limited minutes.
With her expected to get more minutes as a sophomore, expect those rebounding numbers to go up, and with her even getting a few double-doubles.
Alicia Tournebize’s Teammates Compliment Her As Dawn Staley Poked Fun At Her
While Dawn Staley “questioned” Alicia Tournebize’s outfit of choice, her South Carolina Gamecocks teammates had an opposite reaction to her outfit on her night out. Unlike Staley, they actually complimented their teammate, including newly-minted Indiana Fever rookie Raven Johnson.
“😍😍😍😍😍,” commented Raven Johnson
“soooo cuteeee,” said Tessa Johnson
“😍😍😍😍,” added TaNiya Latson
“Yep U ate downnnnn😍😍,” added Maryam Dauda
“you look very magnificent,” said Ayla McDowell.

A native of Charmeil, France, the reserve power forward is also an active member of the French national team and has played in several FIBA competitions.
