South Carolina Gamecocks teammates Chloe Kitts and Tessa Johnson are currently in the middle of a deep postseason run.
Next, the Gamecocks will face the Oklahoma Sooners in their Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament on Saturday. The clash will take place at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California.
Three days ahead of the game, Johnson posted a TikTok video with Kitts, where they grooved to “WASHED” by ELEVATION RHYTHM.
The audio in the video captured the bridge of the song:
“Cause You took away my shame/And You nailed it to the cross/ Got me running out the grave/Hallelujah, here I come.”
“6 monthssssss,” Johnson wrote in the caption.
The timeline seemingly refers to the time since Chloe Kitts suffered a season-ending torn ACL in her right knee during a team practice. The university confirmed the torn ACL on Oct. 13. She underwent surgery to repair the ligament later that same week.
ACL recoveries typically span nine to 12 months, which puts Kitts’ track to potentially return for the start of the 2026-2027 season.
On Saturday, the Gamecocks versus the Sooners face-off will be a major revenge game for Dawn Staley’s squad. Oklahoma handed South Carolina one of its rare regular-season losses back on Jan. 22, winning 94-82 in overtime.
Thus, the Gamecocks are determined to prove themselves. The key duel is between Joyce Edwards and Aaliyah Chavez. The winner of Saturday’s game will punch their ticket to the Elite Eight to face either (3) TCU or (10) Virginia on Monday. It should be a thriller!
Chloe Kitts’s Modern Street-Style Photodump Triggers Tessa Johnson’s 4-word Reaction
Amid rehabbing from a torn ACL, Chloe Kitts is serving major fashion goals on Instagram.
Wearing a black leather jacket, high-waisted jeans with open-toe heeled boots, Kitts posed for a series of pictures on Friday.
“Minding mine,” she wrote in the caption.
Her close friend and teammate, Tessa Johnson, replied in the comments section, writing, “Imma mind yours too 😩😩😩.”
Johnson hinted that she will still look out for Kitts, even if she insists on “minding her own business.”

Both players have been with the Gamecocks for a couple of seasons now.
Kitts has been with the program for three and a half seasons. Meanwhile, Johnson has been with the program for three seasons.
Because the injury occurred before the season started, Kitts is expected to take a medical redshirt. Recent reports indicate she plans to return to South Carolina for the 2026-27 season rather than entering the WNBA Draft this year.
