How Many Points Did Angel Reese Score Today Against Aces? Dream Star’s Atlanta Debut Game Explored

Angel Reese and the Atlanta Dream played their first home game at State Farm Arena against the defending champions. The game went to the wire, but A’ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces pulled away with an 85-84 win. However, Reese, who also played her first game for the franchise in Atlanta, could not make it a memorable one.

Reese was hyped up in the last game against the Dallas Wings and even gave a “too small” gesture to the Wings veteran guard, Odyssey Sims. However, in front of the WNBA legend, she could only make one field goal in 29 minutes.

How did Angel Reese perform against A’ja Wilson?

In the Dream’s first home game, State Farm Arena was filled with fans who came to see their favorite star playing for their favorite team for the first time at home. Angel Reese drew a huge applause when she was introduced as the starter.

However, Reese was hounded for the entire game in the paint by Wilson and Co. Besides shooting just one of eight from the floor, she even turned the ball over eight times. Below is the complete scoreline of Reese in her last game against the Aces.

On the other hand, the Aces starters also had a tough time getting through the defenses, as Stephanie Talbot and Jackie Young couldn’t get on the board. Young attempted 12 field goals but could not make any. However, Chennedy Carter had a huge game, scoring 20 points off the bench. Chelsea Gray led the offense with 21 points, shooting 5-8 from deep.

Angel Reese arrives in style for her first home game with Atlanta Dream

Her on-court showings aside, Angel Reese has become one of the hottest names when it comes to tunnel fashion. She turns up in eye-catching outfits and looks before her games, and fans love her style. She arrived in a leather, Catwoman-inspired fit before her first game as a Dream player in Atlanta.

WNBA’s official X account shared Reese’s pre-game look and wrote:

    “Different type of drip”

Angel Reese often finds herself at the center of controversies, as she openly shares her thoughts on everything basketball. Her rivalry with Caitlin Clark has brought a lot of attention, as she famously defeated the Iowa native in the 2024 Women’s NCAA Finals. Moreover, her on-court antics have also led to several instances of fan criticism on social media.

Nevertheless, Angel Reese has become a style icon in the league, apart from motivating several young players to take up the sport. However, such moments, like the last game against a generational talent like the 3-time WNBA champion, are the golden opportunities for Reese to make an impact in the league.

The Dream will face the Wings in their next game at State Farm Arena, as the Dallas squad looks to even the season series with the Dream.
