Angel Reese is used to several eyes following her wherever she goes, but a recent Barbie Dream Fest seemingly did not meet expectations. The event was allegedly hyped on social media, with several promoters and vendors calling on fans to be part of it. However, fans attending the event shared the real story behind it.
A user on social media shared a video of the venue of the event, the Broward County Convention Center. The video showed a space filled with Barbie-themed products, but it did not have the expected crowd. The post on X was captioned:
“Ayo Angel Reese needs a new team cause WTF is this! She’s the speaker and basically no one showed up ! Online support is very different”
Fans quickly took to the comment section to compare her influence to Caitlin Clark in the WNBA and criticized her for only having an online presence. Some even connected it to her team, the Chicago Sky, and stated that she needed a new team to have a better influence on fans. Her rivalry with Clark has often caught the attention, as their fans lock horns on social media.
Angel Reese calls out journalist for being a “liar”
The recent episode of Angel Reese’s podcast, Unapologetically Angel, featured journalist Speedy Morman, who talked about the WNBA and a few personal topics. In a segment on the episode, the Sky forward asked him to list a few red flags. However, Morman’s answer seemingly irked Reese.
When Morman said that someone getting a tattoo of their YouTube channel name would be a red flag for him and then asked Reese to show him her tattoo. She replied:
“I think your biggest red flag is that your a liar and a mind manipulator”
Angel Reese and the Sky are set to face the expansion team, the Portland Fire, on the road for their first regular-season game on May 9.
