Coco Gauff, Iga Swiatek and the tennis world sent their concerned reactions to Lindsey Vonn after the Alpine ski racer suffered a brutal crash at the 2026 Winter Olympics on Sunday.
Racing on a torn ACL, Vonn clipped a gate and went flying, cutting her run short in the event. On-site reports claimed that the American looked in tears and in pain afterwards, and was barely able to move. Vonn had to be removed via helicopter, and the event had to be stopped for nearly 30 minutes as a result of the crash on the Tofane Course in Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Soon after, the sports world rushed to send their love to Vonn while she recovered, with Gauff and Swiatek leading the line. Both took to Instagram to show their worry and well-wishes, with WTA star Eva Lys also joining them.
“My thoughts are with you,” Swiatek wrote, while Gauff and Lys added a series of heartbroken emojis.

Vonn, considered one of the best alpine ski racers of all-time, has one Olympic gold medal to her name, and two bronze medals. She also has four World Cup overall titles, and a record eight World Cup wins in Downhill.
What are Coco Gauff and Iga Swiatek up to this week?
On the tennis side of things, Coco Gauff and Iga Swiatek are in action this week at the WTA 1000 Qatar Open in Doha. Swiatek is the No. 1 seed in the absence of World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, while Gauff is seeded No. 4 at the event.
Both players have a bye in the first round because of their seeding. In the second round, Swiatek will face off against either Janice Tjen or Beatriz Haddad Maia, while Gauff will take on either Elisabetta Cocciaretto or Elsa Jaquemot. The players are placed on either half of the draw, and can only face each other in the final in Doha.
