Ben Shelton and Trinity Rodman have been dating for almost a year. The latest display of their deep bond came to the fore after the soccer star shared her feelings after dropping off Shelton at the airport. The American tennis star is heading to Rome for the 2026 Italian Open, starting next week.
On Tuesday, Rodman broke down in tears in a heartfelt TikTok clip, where she was too overwhelmed to say anything. However, she noted her feelings in the overlay text of the video, which read:
“The moment alone after dropping your boyfriend off at the airport knowing ur not gonna see him for months right after you just went months without seeing him.”

Rodman might have missed Shelton over the last month since the American was engaged in several ATP clay tournaments all in Europe. He participated in the BMW Open in Munich, Germany, where he defeated Flavio Cabolli to win the title. In the Madrid Open, he was defeated by Dino Prizmic in three sets.

Ben Shelton celebrated Trinity Rodman after the Washington Spirit star signed the biggest NWSL deal. She became the highest-paid woman in the sport, after signing a landmark extension, paying her upto $2 million annually.
Shortly after the deal was announced, Shelton took to social media to celebrate his girlfriend’s achievement. The 23-year-old tennis star wrote:
“Love you and so proud of you.”
Rodman herself showed excitement after signing a benchmark deal for women’s soccer.
“It feels amazing, I’m very happy, I’m very blessed,” Rodman. “I think it’s a monumental and game-changing moment right now. I can’t even describe in words what it feels like… Obviously, everyone’s going to have their different thoughts and opinions about it, but I’ve never really cared. So, that doesn’t change anything for me.”
In another reaction to her signing, Rodman shared what this deal could mean for her legacy and the dreams of many American girls looking up to her.
“I’ve always had a vision of kind of an idea of what I want my legacy to be and continue to be,” Rodman said. “For me, we’re doing that, with help obviously, and I’m so grateful for that. But yeah, I think this is just opening up opportunities for American girls with dreams, and I’m one and was one of them, and so I’m very grateful about that.”
Rodman and Shelton continue to strengthen their relationship on and off the field.
