Sonny Styles Combine Results: Height, Weight, and Full Profile Revealed

The NFL Draft Combine has now kicked off and there were several very promising athletes with surprising results, and among them is Ohio State Buckeyes linebacker Sonny Styles. He left a massive impression over at Indianapolis as he was not just a massive person, but has also showcased a lot of athleticism for a man his size.

The Big Buckeye was measured 6-foot-5 and weighed in at 244 pounds. However, what got people talking was his record-setting vertical jump, which was the highest by any player 6-4 or taller since 2003.

The linebacker recorded a 43.5″ vertical jump, which certainly raises his draft stock. He also recorded 1.56 in the 10-yard split, 11 feet and two inches in the broad jump and 4.47 seconds in the 40-yard dash, tying Ohio State teammate Arvell Reese for the fastest linebacker for the draft class.

As for his official NFL Draft Combine measurements, he also measures in at 10 inches in hand size and 32 7/8 inches in arm length, which means he has a long reach in grabbing or tackling opponents. His wingspan is recorded at 80 7/8 inches, making him all the more dangerous.

With those results, he has gotten a lot of scouts interested. He is a high draft prospect to begin with, entering the combine as the 13th best prospect. Those results might bump him a few more places and would probably get him drafted earlier than many expect.

Where Could Sonny Styles Land After Impressive Combine Performance?

With teams now paying attention on Sonny Styles, where could the linebacker go? Many believe that he could be a top 10 pick, with him going the earliest at No. 5, which will be for the New York Giants where he might have a reunion with former teammates Caleb Downs and Carnell Tate.

The Commanders, which need a boost on defense, as well as the Cincinnati Bengals, could also pick him at No. 7 and No. 10, respectively, with both teams needing to beef up their defensive frontline, and a strong and athletic linebacker could be their answer.

At the very least, he could also go to the Dallas Cowboys should he fall down from the top 10, with Dallas needing to improve its defense after last season’s disaster.
