The Nebraska Huskers have seen a massive student-elite achievement as three of their very best players, Bergen Reilly, Andi Jackson, and Taylor Landfair, have earned their academic degrees in their respective fields. Holding these degrees, the trio will head into their final athletic volleyball season.
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s commencement ceremonies are scheduled for Friday at 3 p.m. at Pinnacle Bank Arena, alongside two other ceremonies that will feature a combined list of 66 Huskers who will walk across the stage to receive their diplomas. The group is powered by 12 student-athletes who combined for 32 All-America awards in their college careers.
Bergen Reilly from Sioux Falls is renowned for her athletic and academic achievements throughout her tenure with the Huskers and has now earned the big academic glory in the form of a degree as a business and law major. Reilly was the 2025 Academic All-American of the Year in volleyball, an accolade given only to those who excel at an elite level across sports and academics.
Huskers outside hitter Taylor Landfair has graduated with a graphic design major and has held several academic and athletic accolades throughout her student-athlete tenure, standout ones that include AVCA All-America First Team (2022).
The duo is joined by Brighton native Andi Jackson, who has graduated with a major in communication studies while having acquired the AVCA All-America First Team honors (2024, 2025) and AVCA Middle Blocker of the Year (2025).
The trio will be seen competing at the upcoming Big Ten volleyball tournament for the final time wearing the Huskers jersey. They plan to bookend their collegiate careers by leading the Huskers through the upcoming home and away matches to the summit of the first-ever Big Ten volleyball tournament, scheduled for November 20–25, 2026, at the Fishers Event Center.
Andi Jackson Talks About Her Favorite Huskers Tradition
Andi Jackson has been hailed as one of the best middle blockers for the Nebraska Huskers volleyball team and holds several accolades on her shelves that represent her grit and excellence across academics and sports. Jackson has been vocal consistently on her love of being part of the Husker family and, during an interview, revealed a jolly anecdote that highlights the backstage tradition followed by the team during their volleyball games.
“One of my favorite things we do as a team is that we dance in the locker rooms in a circle before every single game, and that is just one of my most favorite parts of being here. I know it’s cliche but it brings everyone together,” she said.
Andi Jackson also highlighted the fun vibe that the tradition instills within every player, which pumps up the team before a tough match and reminds the viewers about these locker room moments being the foundation behind their team’s chemistry.
