Nebraska volleyball player Bergen Reilly recently spoke about her partner, Nebraska basketball player Cale Jacobsen, lauding his work ethic. This came after the Nebraska basketball team’s 74-72 win over Vanderbilt to qualify for the Sweet 16.
Jacobsen was part of the historical milestone for the Huskers, as they qualified for the Sweet 16 for the first time after defeating the Vanderbilt Commodores.
Amid the success during the March Madness, Jacobsen’s partner, Reilly, was recently asked to elaborate on her partner’s work ethic and the mindset it took to get to where he is right now. She spoke about how dedicated he is to the sport, thinking about it all night, and highlighted how much she appreciates his discipline.
“He works harder than anyone I know. He was always first in the gym, last out. He’s always thinking about basketball, he’s always thinking of other defense while he’s brushing his teeth at night, so he loves it, and I love it, and it’s finally paying off, and everyone gets to see what I’ve seen for so long,” she said.
The Huskers’ volleyball team has just returned from their spring break trip to Florida, setting a 21-3 season record, as they won 10 out of the 11 matches.
The Huskers are battling the Iowans, and one of them is scheduled to grab the Elite Eight spot at the NCAA.
Bergen Reilly Settles Score During A Trivia Test About Cale Jacobson
Bergen Rilley recently took part in a short quiz aimed at testing her knowledge of her partner’s accomplishments and some of his personal favorites. Cale had recently engaged himself in similar trivia about Reilly and had all the answers relating to her volleyball endeavors.
Rilley was asked what Cale’s high school mascot was. She replied:
“The Bluejays, Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays.”
When asked how many state titles Jacobsen won, Riley said:
“He won one in basketball, and a unified track too.”
At the end, she was also asked about the Class C1 state tournament record that Jacobsen had set, and Rilley was asked how many points they had. It stumped Rilley as she gave a mixed response. It was 43, as revealed by the interviewer.
