Bo Bassett emerged victorious in the finals and also took home the victory at the U20 level. Melvin Miller grinded through a 12-match workload and ended up No. 4, while Keegan finished second at the U17 finals.
Mother Bassett did not hold back in showcasing the relentless grit of the Bassett brothers this past weekend, mentioning the historical dominance across multiple divisions.
Talking about Mevlin, Karissa said:
“Mel battled and took 4th in seniors. Wrestled 12 matches in 2 days between seniors and u20s. Got a bit banged up , and decided he will take his chance for the U20 world team spot in Ohio at the end of May. “

“He now has the summer to grow and get big & strong. It isn’t what he wanted , but God’s plan is always better than our own!”
Finally, she mentioned the glorious path that has been carved for the US Open champ, Bo Bassett, that will now take him to the world stage, and ended with a collective tribute to all three. He said:
“He earned the world team spot for U23. He will battle it out for the senior world spot at Final X. And he will sit in Ohio to wrestle the winner of that bracket, in a best 3 for the u20 World Team spot. Extremely proud of all 3 of my boys . And incredibly grateful!
