Jordan Chiles recently opened up about winning back-to-back regular-season Big Ten titles while stating her joy in bagging the trophy. No. 5 UCLA team defeated Iowa, Ohio State, and Maryland to win the Big Four meet in Pauley Pavilion on Friday, February 27, 2026.
They clinched the Big Ten regular season title for the second-straight year with a perfect 9-0 record, which also marked UCLA’s 23rd all-time conference title. Chiles led the championship with 39.625 points in the all-around event. She also dominated the vault and floor and tied for first on bars.
The 24-year-old’s 9.950 vault in the final rotation helped the UCLA Bruins to bag the title. The Bruins collected 196.950 points to surpass No. 18 Iowa (196.475), No. 19 Ohio State (196.425), and No. 25 Maryland (195.025). In an interview after the faceoff, Chiles highlighted the importance of winning the trophy.
“It honestly means a lot. The girls have been working really really hard in the gym and just being able to come out here and do our job just as best as we could, I think that’s the bigget thing. The trophy means everything to us and we are just going to go hard and just keep working.”
The Big10 Championships will be held on March 21, 2026. Before the Championships, Chiles opened up about competing for the Bruins and said:
“The energy that Pauley gives every single time we have a homie just means everything. Knowing that I only have one more time to do that, it’s bittersweet but you know I have been able to come out her each and every single time to do it for the team, to do it for myself, really give Pauley, the amazing LA show that we need. So I’m happy that I had this opportunity and I get to do it one more time.”
Jordan Chiles posted 9.950 and 9.900 points on floor and bars, respectively.
Jordan Chiles Sends Strong Message Ahead of Big Ten and NCAA Championships
In a press conference after the Big Four Tournament, Jordan Chiles highlighted the team’s goal for the upcoming Big Ten Championships, NCAA Regionals, and NCAA Championships. She expressed her pride in her team, especially the freshmen.
“This isn’t the end. This is the regular season. We still have Big Ten championships, we have (NCAA) regionals and we have NCAAs. It’s just going up from here. Allowing the freshmen to see what a postseason meet could look like, they definitely showed up and did what they needed to do. Now, let’s just keep pushing forward.”
The Bruins won the Big10 Championships last year at Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
