Jordan Chiles Reacts to Earning Highest All-Around in Nation Amid 2026 NCAA Gymnastics Season

UCLA senior and Olympic medalist Jordan Chiles is setting the early tone for the 2026 NCAA women’s gymnastics season, and she’s doing it in spectacular fashion. She reacted to her earning the highest all-around score in the nation amid her 2026 NCAA gymnastics season.

Chiles’ standout performance came during UCLA’s recent dual meet against Michigan State, where she scored an outstanding 39.875 all-around, the top mark in the country at that point in the 2026 season. She cemented her status by showcasing her versatility with scores that included a perfect 10 on floor, 9.975 on vault, and 9.950 on both uneven bars and balance beam. In the meet, she also secured her first 10 of the NCAA season in the floor exercise.

Eventually the UCLA Bruins won the showdown, recording 197.425 points while their opponents registered 196.900. The American has been constantly winning the Big Ten Conference Gymnast of the Week award, and her most recent was her fourth consecutive award after a clash against Michigan. The Inside Gym celebrated Chiles’ performance by posting her statistics on Instagram and penned a caption that read:

“There’s no debate this week!🌟 UCLA’s Jordan Chiles owns the nation’s highest All-Around score and sits No. 1 for the fourth consecutive week. She also delivered the season’s first 10.0 on floor.”

Jordan Chiles reflected on receiving support from fans amid the 2026 NCAA season

During the UCLA Bruins’ clash with Michigan, Jordan Chiles spoke to News 10 Sports. In the interview she was asked about the support they are receiving, as arenas are being sold out all over the country and she is a large part of it.

The gymnast called it an ‘amazing’ experience and admitted that it was one of the ‘best’ Big Ten meets she has ever been a part of. (0:08 onwards)

“I mean, it’s really cool and amazing. I feel like, you know, as best as we can as being the Bruins, we love to bring the support and love from everywhere. And so, knowing that we can help, you know, other schools sell out stadiums, it just means a lot. And it means that, you know, people are here to witness both ends, the school that they love, but also this rivalry as well. So, I think this is definitely one of the best Big 10 meets I’ve ever been a part of, and so it’s like, why not, you know, bring the energy and everything,” said Jordan Chiles.

The American gymnast further spoke about how participating in Dancing With the Stars helped her in gymnastics. She revealed that it gave her a ‘little more spark here and there.’
Jordan Chiles and the UCLA Bruins will be back on the mat on January 30 at the Pauley Pavilion, where they will square off against Washington.
