Jax Forrest Stunned as Penn State Sends Five Wrestlers to World Team – Complete Final X Results

The Final X came to an end on Friday, delivering plenty of action between the top wrestlers battling for spots on Team USA. While Penn State emerged as one of the most dominant teams at the event, Oklahoma State’s Jax Forrest endured a setback.

The event took place at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Penn State wrestlers ruled the event, securing five spots on the 2026 US Senior World team, highlighted by Marcus Blaze’s thrilling 2-1 series victory over reigning NCAA champion Forrest at 61 kg.

Another dominant performance came from four-time world champion Kyle Dake, who reclaimed his world spot after prevailing over Zahid Valencia in the 86 kg category. The Nittany Lion overcame a round-one loss to secure the victory. Along with Blaze and Dake, the other Penn State wrestlers who claimed world spots are Kyle Snyder at 97 kg, Levi Haines at 79 kg, and Zain Retherford at 70 kg.

The 65 kg bout between Bo Bassett and Real Woods was postponed due to the latter’s severe antibiotic-resistant knee infection. Since Woods is a 2025 senior bronze medalist, he was permitted to formally request and receive a medical exemption after providing doctor documentation of his hospitalization. The official date and location for the rescheduled showdown have not yet been decided by USA Wrestling.

Let’s have a look at the complete results from the competition.
