Mondo Duplantis has turned heads with his dreamy wedding with his longtime partner, Desire Inglander. Athletes, including Tara Davis-Woodhall, Femke Bol, and more, dropped sweet messages, sharing well-wishes for the couple.
Duplantis and Inglander, who is a model, first met at a midsummer party in Stockholm in June 2020. While Inglander wasn’t interested earlier, the pole vault champion pursued and won her over for a first date before flying back to the United States for training. After a few months of this meeting, they went public in March 2021 and started sharing frequent updates with each other on social media.
Inglander was also seen supporting him during his pole vault events, and they started making frequent public appearances. After dating for almost four years, the couple got engaged in October 2024 in a dreamy setting at the beach. They finally exchanged their vows on June 12 and hosted a stunning wedding celebration at the Chateau de Castellaras.
The Swedish model recently posted pictures from the wedding on Instagram, where both of them are posing in their elegant outfits in a mesmerizing location.
This caught the attention of the athletes, who showered their love on the couple. The long jump phenom, Davis-Woodhall, penned a sweet message that read:

Mondo Duplantis’ and Desire Inglander’s wedding took place in the South of France at the picturesque Chateau de Castellaras on June 12, 2026, and shortly after the series of functions of their wedding, they spoke to Vogue about the insides of their special day.
Inglander weighed in on the emotional moments of walking down the aisle with her father and standing beside Duplantis. Opening up about her happy tears, she said:
“When the pianist started playing ‘Slipping Through My Fingers,’ I already started shedding happy tears,” said Inglander about walking down the aisle with her father.
She added:
“Standing by the person I love more than anything else in front of the people I love the most made me feel so grounded and happy.”
Talking about the special guests and opening up about feeling loved by the guests, he said:
“It was the best merger of cultures that we could have asked for. Half of my friends and family are from Louisiana, and the other half, as well as my wife Desiré and her family, are Swedish. That, with a sprinkle of international friends, made it the most amazing mix of energy. We felt so loved and appreciated,” said Mondo Duplantis.
On the pole vault end of things, Mondo Duplantis was last seen in action at the Stockholm Diamond League on June 7, 2026, where he suffered a shock defeat, securing a second-place finish. The first place was claimed by Kurtis Marschall.
