Jax Forrest Reveals a Striking Bleached Hairstyle As The Big 12 Champion Prepares For His NCAA Tournament Debut

Jax Forrest recently offered a look at his new bleached hairstyle after becoming the Big 12 champion. He is currently gearing up to make his debut at the NCAA Wrestling Championships.

Forrest has come out fresh from the Big 12 Wrestling Championships, where he competed in the 133-pound finals on March 7. He went against Arizona’s Kyler Larkin and dominated the bout, registering a 15-2 major decision win. He is now ready to represent the Oklahoma State wrestling team in the NCAA Wrestling Championships in the same weight category.

Amid his preparations and days after winning the Big 12 title, the freshman revealed a striking bleached hairstyle on his Instagram story. He posted a picture of his new hairstyle with a caption that read:

Along with winning his first Big 12 title, Forrest was also named the Most Outstanding Wrestler at the Championships, and shortly after these honors, he celebrated his achievements on social media. Taking to Instagram, he uploaded a series of pictures from the Big 12 conference and flexed his achievements with a caption that read:

“0-0. Grateful for it all, ready for anything that comes my way. Big 12 Champ & OW,” wrote Forrest.

Jax Forrest opened up about his Big 12 Championship victory

After dominating the 133-pound bout against Kyler Larkin, Jax Forrest addressed the media, where he fielded questions surrounding the ins and outs of his victory. When asked about his journey at his first Big 12 tournament, he revealed how he trained multiple times a day and what he actually thinks of the tournament.

Opening up about his goal for the 2026 National Wrestling Championships, he added:

“It’s just wrestling, you know? It’s what I train every day, multiple times a day, early mornings, late nights, is just for times like this. You know, I wasn’t thinking about the Big 12s until a couple weeks ago, you know, in my mind, this is just a stepping stone to nationals in two weeks. Based on what you tell us, you wanted that tech fall. That would have been a perfect symmetry for tech falls,” said Jax Forrest.
When further asked what he did “bodywise” during the match, he credited his innate athleticism and his parents’ athletic repertoire as well as their tutelage.
“I mean, that’s just I’m different, I guess. You know, my dad wrestled, my mom swam. So, athletics is just built in me, even though you wouldn’t guess it, but it’s just that mindset of just my dad instilled in me of just scoring points. And, you know, it would have been great to get that tech. I was really close, but there’s just a couple minor things that I’m going to need to get those taked downs in third period in a couple weeks,” he added.

Jax Forrest is next scheduled to compete at the 2026 NCAA Wrestling Championships, which is scheduled to take place from March 19 to 21 at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio.
