Harper Murray recently dropped a sweet reaction to Paige Bueckers’ latest post of entering the 2026 WNBA season. This season will mark her second season with the Dallas Wings.
Murray is currently in her off-season after producing a bunch of dominant performances at the beach volleyball season and spring exhibition matches. Presently, she is enjoying her time away from the court and recently posted fun updates with her teammate, Andi Jackson, on social media. The Husker’s outside hitter was recently seen in Becker’s comment section, cheering her on before her second season.
Bueckers is currently the reigning Rookie of the Year, and after an exceptional 2025 season, she has opened her 2026 WNBA season. Expressing her excitement for her second season, she posted a bunch of pictures in her jersey on Instagram with the caption:
“Lets ride… Year 2💙💚”
This caught Murray’s attention, who shared a supportive reaction in the comment section, writing:
“🔥🔥🔥👏👏👏”
Bueckers kickstarted her 2026 season on May 9, where she led the Wings to a 107-104 victory over the Indiana Fever. In this match, she registered 20 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds in 32 minutes.
Murray, on the other hand, was last seen in action on April 25 during Nebraska volleyball’s team’s last spring exhibition match against North Colorado. This matchup took place at the Chicoine Centre in Chadron, where the Huskers claimed an impressive 4-0 sweep.
When Harper Murray made her feelings known about her inspiration for playing volleyball and representing the Nebraska volleyball team
In August 2025, Harper Murray spoke to Hail Varsity, where she opened up about her inspiration behind playing volleyball and her decision to represent the Nebraska volleyball team. She revealed that she initially didn’t know how big volleyball was and how significant Nebraska was. Crediting Jordan Larson for her interest, she said:
“Again, like I think over time, I didn’t realize how big volleyball was and how big it um specifically how big it was in Nebraska. And of course, as I’ve gotten older and volleyball’s grown, I’ve seen it more and more. But I think I always knew I wanted to be here. And of course there were other schools that caught my eye at the time, but I really think that it was Jordan Larson. Like she obviously wasn’t a coach here at the time, but she was always the volleyball player that I idolized growing up,” said Harper Murray.
