Nebraska volleyball player Harper Murray’s mother, Sarah, recently met the new member of their family. Murray welcomed a new furry family member, a pet dog, on March 21.
She shared the news with her fans via an Instagram story, where she was seen posing with the new family member for a mirror selfie. The pet seemed to be of the Doberman Pinscher breed. Creating a new Instagram profile for the dog, Murray named him Zeusx Dobbie. She captioned her picture:
“Say hii to my new baby @zeusxdobbie,” and added a paw and white heart emojis.
A few days later, the Big Red Team’s junior shared a heartwarming moment between her mother and her new pet. As her mother met the dog for the first time, Murray captured the moment, where Zeusx Dobbie was seen sitting across Sarah’s legs.
As they both posed for the pictures, Murray captioned it:
“Mom finally met her grandson.”

Murray recently concluded the beach season with the Huskers. They last competed against the Ave Maria team on March 21. While they won the first faceoff 5-0, the Big Red Team posted 3-2 in the second set.
Nebraska Volleyball’s Harper Murray Opened Up On Why No Players Transferred After Legendary Coach John Cook’s Retirement
Nebraska Volleyball’s Harper Murray shared her opinion on why no player left the Big Red Team even after Coach John Cook’s retirement, saying that the players respected his legacy and trusted him to leave the leadership in capable hands, such as Dani Busboom Kelly. She also highlighted Busboom Kelly’s feats as head coach at the Louisville Cardinals.
“I feel like that attests to the culture and the tradition that John built over the past 24, 25 years. I feel like we all trust him to replace him with someone like Dani, and we all trusted that he would put someone in his position to make us successful, and we all knew that Dani would be able to do that, and I also think Dani has an amazing reputation in the volleyball world,” said Murray.
“She’s done so much at Louisville, and we all saw that happen, like we’ve played Louisville in the past. We’ve seen what she’s been able to do with their program, so I think it was easy for us to trust that she’d be able to bring us success too,” she added.
Coach Busboom Kelly led the Cardinals from 2016 through the 2024 season, leading them to four NCAA final appearances.
