Nebraska Volleyball Player Harper Murray Opens Up On Her Inspiration For Playing Volleyball And Representing The Huskers
Nebraska Volleyball’s Harper Murray once opened up on how she ended up playing for the Huskers’ squad, stating that initially she was unaware of how big the program was. She also looked up to Jordan Larson, who competed for the Big Red Team, becoming an All-American thrice.
“Again, like I think over time, I didn’t realize how big volleyball was and how big it um specifically how big it was in Nebraska. And of course, as I’ve gotten older and volleyball’s grown, I’ve seen it more and more. But I think I always knew I wanted to be here. And of course there were other schools that caught my eye at the time, but I really think that it was Jordan Larson. Like she obviously wasn’t a coach here at the time, but she was always the volleyball player that I idolized growing up.”
Larson is a four-time Olympian. She also served as a full-time assistant coach for the Nebraska volleyball program after being appointed as staff member in 2023.
