Suni Lee opened up about how she will decide of competing at the 2028 LA Olympics

In February 2026, Suni Lee appeared on the Today Show, where she was asked about factors she will decide on for competing at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. Responding to this, she said that one of the major deciding factors will be her mental health, and she wants to make a comeback only for herself.

She also revealed that she just wants to enjoy the process and eliminate the pressure, unlike the 2024 Olympics. Stating that she would take a couple more months to make a decision, she said:

“I think it’s just a matter of where my mental health is and also like this Olympics, I think will. Hopefully if I come back I think it would really have to just be for me. I don’t want to do it for anybody else and like have that pressure on me. I think last Olympics I put so much pressure on myself because I was the reigning Olympic champion and so now I’m like I just wanna enjoy it like it would be my potential last one if I did do it so I just kind of wanna see where I’m at, how my body feels, and I’ll probably give myself like, I don’t know, a couple, a couple more months to decide, but we’ll see,” said Suni Lee.

Suni Lee recently went candid about gym foam pits and shared the reason behind building one just for herself.
