The 2026 MLV Championship final is set for its massive showdown, where the Dallas Pulse will take on the Omaha Supernovas on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Comerica Center in Frisco, Texas. The match is one for the ages, as a massive $1 million bonus lies ahead for the winning team in the pool, as the bout is now dubbed “Match for a Million.”
The Major League Volleyball (MLV) championships have been hailed as the premier indoor women’s volleyball league and have featured some of volleyball’s greatest moments on court, and currently consist of eight independently owned franchises. The current season has witnessed grueling battles for the final stance, claimed by the No. 2-seeded Dallas and the No. 4-seeded Omaha.
Dallas had beaten No. 3-seeded San Diego 3-1 in Thursday’s second semifinal bout with a score of 28-30, 25-18, 25-17, and 25-10, while the Omaha Supernovas extracted an upset win over the Indy Ignites with a final tally of 25-22, 21-25, 27-29, 25-20, and 15-13, after losing to the Ignites back in 2025.
Outside hitter Sofia Maldonado-Diaz stood out as the star performer with her match-high 21 kills and four blocks, while setter Natalia Valentin-Anderson handed out 50 assists, and Mojo outside hitter Grace Loberg and opposite hitter Jovana Brakocevic paced San Diego with 13 kills and 11 kills, respectively.
The Supernovas had an equally momentous semifinal bout where Sarah Parsons triumphed with 17 kills, as Merritt Beason and Brooke Nuneviller followed suit.
