“My resilience, and not just through these Games, but through my entire career and my life, and that you never know what’s possible.”

“I’m feeling many, many emotions. It’s definitely been a rollercoaster of an Olympics for me. But I am just so grateful to be here with such amazing people and teammates. So, I’m feeling so many different things, but mostly I’m just proud of myself.”
Amber Glenn Shared Bold Take on Females Competing on Their Period
Everyone saw Amber Glenn’s roller-coaster ride at the Winter Olympics, but no one knows the struggle behind it. After her upsetting performance in the short skate and then her fifth-place finish in the finals, the American revealed that she was competing while she was on her period.
In a media conversation, she revealed how hard it is to perform in that situation and highlighted how female struggle in competing while menstruating is not widely discussed in the sports world:
“I’m on my period right now, so it’s always really hard, especially when you have to perform in front of the whole world. It’s scary, and it makes you extra emotional, and it’s hard. And you have to go be an athlete. It’s something that we don’t really talk about a lot for female athletes, and I think it should be a topic of discussion.”
At the 2026 Winter Olympics, Amber Glenn won a gold medal in the team’s event, where she contributed eight points in her team’s victory. She scored 138.62 points, placing third in the event.
