    When Is the 2026 US Open Wrestling Tournament? Dates, Schedule, Venue, and Top Contenders So Far

    The 2026 US Open Wrestling Tournament will feature multiple elite wrestlers locking horns from April 22 to 26 at the World Market Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The tournament will feature multiple wrestlers competing in different categories, including U20 men, U17 boys, U15 boys, UWW futures boys, girls national high school, and masters men A.

    The Senior, U20 Men, U17 Boys, and U15 Boys divisions’ faceoffs will serve as the qualification rounds for the World Team and Pan American Team. The men’s and women’s freestyle championships will earn a direct spot in the Final X.

    Schedule for the 2026 US Open Wrestling Tournament

    The Wrestling tournament will kick off on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, with the U-15 event. The senior women’s and men’s freestyle final bout is scheduled for April 24 and 25,  respectively.

    Top Contenders To Watch At The 2026 US Open Wrestling Tournament

    The 2026 US Open Wrestling tournament will witness the 2026 PIAA State Championship Bo Bassett compete in the 65kg category. He will be joined by Vito Arujau and 149 lbs champion at the 2026 NCAA Championships, Aden Valencia. Olympic silver medalist Spencer Lee will vie in the 57kg freestyle event to earn a spot in the Final X to defend his title.

    The 2025 Pan American champion, Jax Forrest and the 2018 NCAA Champion, Seth Gross, will meet each other in the 61kg category lineup. The 2025 NCAA champions and RAF 07 winner Wyatt Hendrickson will vie in the 125kg division in an attempt to showcase his dominance. The University of Oklahoma State wrestler and the 2026 Big 12 Championships third-place finisher, Cody Merrill, will be seen lining up in the 92kg category.
