It starts with Lorenzo Styles, the father of the Styles family. Lorenzo shares the family with mother, Laverna. The two met at Ohio State, where Lorenzo played football. Today, the father is 26 years removed from an NFL career with seeds dating back to his time at Ohio State.
Lorenzo played for the St. Louis Rams from 1997 to 2000 after spending two years with the Atlanta Falcons in 1995 and 1996. Before that, he spent two seasons with the Ohio State Buckeyes as a linebacker, where he tallied two interceptions in 23 games.
Styles’ mother has been working as the Director of HR Operations at the Ohio Department of Administrative Services since 2023. Before that, she worked as the HCM Assistant Administrator at the Ohio Department of Natural Resources from March 2020 to June 2023.
Who is Sonny Styles’ Brother?
Sonny Styles’ brother is Lorenzo Styles Jr. He shares the name of his father and also shared a place at Ohio State with Styles on the team’s defense. Styles originally began his college career with the Notre Dame Fighting Irish before he transferred to join Ohio State.
The brothers played for the program from 2023 until 2025. Both are on pace to join the NFL at the same time, and while there’s a mathematical chance of the two sharing a roster in September, the odds are slim.
Still, it is not unheard of for two brothers to share the same roster. The Griffin brothers, consisting of Shaquem Griffin and Shaquill Griffin, shared a roster with the Seattle Seahawks in the late 2010s.
