Sonny Styles is gearing up for the NFL, and as such, he is preparing for the traditional workouts and measurements at the 2026 NFL combine. After a celebrated run with the Ohio State Buckeyes, Styles is hoping to turn heads over the next 12 months and establish himself as someone who can be relied on in the long term.
However, while many prospects are eager to join the professional leagues, Styles will have one major drawback to leaving Ohio State and his brother behind.
Meet the Styles brothers.
Identity Of Sonny Styles’ Brother
Sonny Styles’ only publicly known relative is brother Lorenzo Styles Jr., according to a Nov. 21, 2025 report by the Delaware Gazette. The brothers were separated to kick off their FBS careers, with Sonny joining Ohio State and Lorenzo joining the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Lorenzo entered the FBS first in 2021, followed by Sonny in 2022.
Lorenzo spent his first two years as a wide receiver before moving on from the Fighting Irish. He eventually decided to join Ohio State and the program accepted him, putting both brothers together. Lorenzo became a cornerback for the program, leaving offense behind. The two played defense together from 2023 through 2025.
Once again, the two are likely to separate in April at the 2026 NFL draft. Of course, there’s a chance the two could reunite, but the odds are seemingly low.
Potential Landing Spots for Sonny Styles and Lorenzo Styles Jr.
For the brothers to reunite in 2026, it will take a team hungry enough to add two defenders. Both would need to be drafted by the same general manager or one would need to go undrafted and choose to sign with the brother’s team.
Out of the two, Lorenzo is more likely to go undrafted as a wide receiver-turned-cornerback, but the final landing spots will be up to the general managers.
Potential teams where a reunion between the linebacker Sonny Styles and the cornerback Lorenzo Styles Jr. could be the Arizona Cardinals, Dallas Cowboys and Cincinnati Bengals.
All three teams are perceived by most to be needing heavy defensive investments, which would open a budget big enough to make a run at the positions of need.
Will a team decide to add a blood-related duo to its football family?
