Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are one of the power couples in the NFL. With Swift’s global superstardom, their relationship has become a fan favorite for people around the world who like the Grammy Award-winning artist.
Swift’s fans show love to Kelce and the rest of his family as well. Every time the Kansas City Chiefs star mentions his fiancée, his comments go viral, and fans start digging deep into whatever he has said.
On a recent episode of the ‘New Heights’ podcast, Kelce invited singer-songwriter Chris Stapleton. He has worked with Swift as a feature artist on her song ‘I Bet You Think About Me’, which was written in 2011 and released in 2021.
During their conversation, Kelce wanted to ask Stapleton about working with George Strait. Before asking that question, he referenced his fiancée and shared something she had told him.
“I’ve talked to Taylor…My Taylor about this a few times,” he said. “She grew up in that country world in Nashville in high school coming up and she was underneath a lot of these big country singers. And she raves about how together they are, how they manoeuvre on tour and stuff like that. How was it rocking with George Strait around the country?”
Kelce asked that question to Stapleton as a fan of music, but for Swift’s fans, hearing “My Taylor” was all that mattered.
“Travis Kelce and our lovely Taylor Swift tales are lullaby for me,” a fan wrote.
“He said “My Taylor” and the whole fandom felt that. The domesticity of it all,” a fan wrote.
“MY TAYLOR,” a fan wrote.
“’MY TAYLOR’ IM GONNA CRY THAT’S MAMA & PAPA,” a fan wrote.
“my taylor OH IM ENVIOUS OF A MAN,” a fan wrote.
Some other fans reminded Kelce that instead of “my,” he should say “our,” but he already knows that.
Is Travis Kelce Retiring?
Kelce started his NFL career in 2013 after being picked in the third round by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2013 NFL Draft. In his career spanning over a decade, Kelce has won three Super Bowl titles, has been a four-time First-team All-Pro, and has made 11 All-Pro appearances.
He was also a part of the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team. Kelce played a key role in establishing the Chiefs’ dynasty as well. Now, at the age of 36, and since the dynasty is over, there are rumors about his retirement.
Although nothing has been confirmed yet, reports suggest that the Chiefs are prepared for whatever decision he’ll make. They’d like to have him back for another season, but even if he doesn’t, they’ll be prepared to move on.
