Todd McShay Vikings Mock Draft: Who Minnesota Could Pick in the 2026 NFL Draft

As Todd McShay is well aware, the NFL draft is just around the corner for the Minnesota Vikings and the rest of the league. Watching Sam Darnold win a Super Bowl was a punch in the gut for the franchise and its fans. Now, it’s time to respond.

McShay has made his prediction for the team in the north, and if true, the implications are clear. According to McShay’s prediction, which was last updated on Wednesday, the team will not go with a quarterback.

Instead, the team will go with wide receiver Denzel Boston, one of the top prospects at the position. McShay addressed the lingering doubts about Boston relative to other top talents.

“The Vikings had real issues catching the football last season, and the situation hasn’t exactly improved,” McShay wrote. “With Jalen Nailor now in Las Vegas, they’re currently planning to give Tai Felton and his three rookie receptions a starting role. That’s a problem.

“This pick might feel a bit rich for Boston, but based on conversations I had with a couple of teams over the weekend, the gap between him, KC Concepcion, and Omar Cooper Jr. isn’t nearly as wide for some teams as the draft community may think.”

Boston played four seasons with the Washington Huskies, tallying 20 receiving touchdowns over his last two seasons. He also earned at least 830 yards in each of those seasons. Boston would presumably line up behind Justin Jefferson and compete with Jordan Addison for the WR2 role.
