Terry Pegula’s Controversial Press Conference
The Bills had a decent regular season, and they lost in the Divisional Round because of a controversial interception ruling by the refs. But when Pegula sat for the press conference, he had a lot to get off his chest.
The Bills’ owner spoke on a variety of topics, completely unfiltered, but no one caught more heat than Keon Coleman.
“Can I interrupt? I’ll address the Keon situation,” Pegula said. “The coaching staff pushed to draft Keon. I’m not saying Brandon wouldn’t have drafted him, but he wasn’t his next choice. That was Brandon being a team player and taking advice of this coaching staff who felt strongly about the player. He’s taken, for some reason, heat over it and not saying a word about it, but I’m here to tell you the true story.”
He also talked about the Bills’ decision to fire head coach Sean McDermott after the season. Pegula’s blunt comments received major criticism from fans and members of the media who believe that he shouldn’t have publicly trashed his players.
