NFL insider John Frascella added fuel to the speculation of Diggs going to the Ravens. While acknowledging that the Ravens could use another experienced receiver, he also questioned whether the former Pro Bowler would be the right fit alongside quarterback Lamar Jackson.
“I am hearing some ‘Stefon Diggs to the Ravens’ possibility,” Frascella wrote on X. “The Ravens definitely need the help and depth at WR, but stylistically, Diggs is an ‘on-time’ receiver and Lamar Jackson is not an ‘on-time’ passer. Lamar needs musicians, improv guys, so Diggs would mostly be a decoy for Declan Doyle.”
The comments sparked debate among NFL fans.
One fan dismissed the idea outright, “HARD PASS!! Dude is nothing but trouble!!”
Another echoed the same concern, “Diggs is nothing but trouble, I want my team to stay away.”
Some fans were worried about the impact a veteran addition could have on Baltimore’s current receiver.
A user wrote, “We don’t need any competition for Flowers!!!!!!”
“They can’t develop WRs, so their move has always been to get the most out of veterans or aging WRs,” another wrote.
Not everyone viewed the potential signing negatively.
“This would make a lot of sense for them, oddly enough. Timing would be good for Lamar to get him some help,” one wrote.
“Remember he played with Josh Allen for 5 years and did just fine off script. As a route runner Diggs is a musician,” another wrote.
Stefon Diggs Team Interest
Despite remaining unsigned, Diggs reportedly continues to get interest from other teams. ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported that at least five teams have checked in on the veteran.
“I’m hearing he’s going to have a market closer to training camp,” Fowler said. “I was told that at least 5 teams that need a wide receiver have been checking in…they’re gonna have to deal with the baggage and the headlines, they are what they are.”
Diggs became a free agent on March 11, 2026, after being released by the New England Patriots. Even so, his on-field production remains difficult to ignore. He recorded 1,013 yards, 4 touchdowns, and 11.9 AVG last season.
The Ravens are viewed as a logical destination given their recent history of adding experienced pass catchers. While Zay Flowers is firmly established as Baltimore’s top receiver, questions remain about the team’s depth behind him. The competitive battle for the WR3 role leaves room for another proven veteran, if the front office decides that more experience is needed.
