Taylor Swift’s and Travis Kelce’s wedding has been one of the most talked-about events in this year’s offseason, and while most media outlets and analysts are covering every possible detail about the upcoming wedding, Skip Bayless and his wife, Ernestine, have had enough of it.
Skip and his wife aren’t big fans of Swift anyway; they recently went viral for their criticism of the “I Knew You Were Trouble” artist attending the Knicks’ NBA championship game.
Addressing the backlash they received over their comments, Skip and his wife doubled down on their remark about Swift’s NBA game appearance in a YouTube video posted on June 30, expressing frustration with the extensive coverage of the wedding.
”I can second this motion because I was actually on the bike or the treadmill and you were watching one of the TVs across the room, GMA, and it was another Taylor Swift story and they were just going gaga over saying this is a fairy tale and you said they’re treating them like they’re royals,” Skip said.
”I know it was Princess Di, which I remember Princess Di [Diana] was a big thing. I mean that was bigger than Megan Markle. That was really Princess Di. This is like, and they said on CBS’ Morning Show, this is like a fairy tale ending to a princess. Like, what is going on here? I don’t get it. I don’t get it. I hope they get married and live happily ever after and just stop all this; as Susan Powell would say, stop the insanity.” Bayless’ wife, Ernestine, said.
Reporter Weighs In On Betting Frenzy Around Taylor Swift’s And Travis Kelce’s Wedding
CBS reporter Jo Ling Kent spoke about the betting frenzy around Kelce’s and Swift’s wedding on June 29 and shared that not only is the upcoming wedding the talk of the town, but it has also drawn millions of dollars in bets.
Kent revealed that more than $2M is in play for the Swift-Kelce wedding, with 83% of bettors predicting the mega event will take place in New York and 18% predicting it will take place in Rhode Island.
“Bettors are also wagering $310,000 on the exact New York location. Seventy-five percent, no surprise here, believe it’s Madison Square Garden. And there’s $200,000 on the line for who her bridesmaids will be. The leading contender is Abigail Anderson, her childhood best friend, along with Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez, and possibly future sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce.”
The Kelce and Swift wedding is widely rumored to be taking place at Madison Square Garden, with approximately 1,000 guests expected to attend.
