When NFL legend Tom Brady was still active, he was considered one of the best players of his era. One of these reasons was that he had a very good rapport with his teammates. Many stories of his playing days have been making the rounds of late, and another one came up when former Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon appeared on Kick’s N3on’s stream.
Josh Gordon told the streamer that 7-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady invited them to stay with him and his then-wife, Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen, at his home. He and several other teammates were “made” to live at his home and train, and they would practice some “crazy” routines in the offseason.
“He made us live with him in the offseason. Like train right there, his wife making us food and everything like that. It’d be me, [Julian] Edelman, and [Rob Gronkowski],” he said. “We would just do the most crazy routine of like standing in one spot and at least 50 times you just catching one specific pass… Alex Guerrero, his coach, is just holding the gun, like a speedometer for baseball, that was just clocking if it stays at 62 miles per hour.”
He added that during those drills, their hands took “a beating” and commented on how “obsessive” Tom Brady would get. However, Gordon did say that this was in preparation for the new season and that the legendary quarterback was a hard worker.
Tom Brady Currently Helping No. 1 Pick Fernando Mendoza Acclimate To The NFL
These days, Tom Brady is a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders, which used their No. 1 pick to get Heisman winner Fernando Mendoza, a quarterback out of Indiana. This has made people wonder if and how Brady is helping the incoming rookie QB, given that he is considered the greatest player in that position.
In an interview, Mendoza himself revealed that he has been keeping in touch with Brady and has been receiving advice from the former QB. Mendoza said that Brady told him he needs to be more competitive and toughen himself up mentally and physically, advice that has resonated with him.
