Skyler Bell Draft Projection: Where Could UConn Wide Receiver Land?

UConn wide receiver Skyler Bell was widely seen as a Day 2 selection, but with Rounds 2 and 3 now over, he finds himself going down to Day 3. This means that he might get less opportunities whatever team picks him on Saturday. However, this also means that the dream is still alive for the Huskies star as he looks forward to Rounds 4 to 7.

Several mock drafts had him being drafted No. 71 overall by the Washington Commanders, but that pick came and went so as he finds himself sliding down the projections, the question now is, what will his new draft projection be at Day 3?

The Commanders have already picked Clemson wide receiver Antonio Williams at No. 71, so the team may have already filled their wide receiver quota already.

This means another team that might need a wide receiver could step up, and the earliest is actually the first pick of the fourth round, the Las Vegas Raiders. It is no secret that they need a wide receiver, and they could go for one of the best available right now and that is Skyler Bell.

This could mean he could go as early as No. 102, but he could also go much later, even ending up in the later rounds. The Titans could get him in the fifth round at No. 142 or at 165, though the Raiders could also pick him up should he still be available at No. 208.

While his draft slide would not be as big as Shedeur Sanders’ last year, it is still very much possible that he could be picked around the 200s.

Pittsburgh Steelers Could Also Be In the Running for Skyler Bell

Another team that could be looking at Skyler Bell could be the Pittsburgh Steelers, another team that needs another backup wide receiver right now. The team listed Bell as one of their 10 best players still available in the draft in its website and noted that it is surprised he is still not picked yet.

The Steelers next pick is No. 121, and they could use it to get the UConn wide receiver as he truly is one of the biggest snubs from the third round. In Bell, they could get a very athletic wide receiver who has been clutch for the Huskies down the stretch.
