Will Daniel Jones Be Ready For Week 1 of the NFL Season?

Daniel Jones had a career-reviving season last year after leaving New York for Indiana. The 29-year-old drastically improved his passing yards and passing touchdowns, as well as QBR, from the year prior under head coach Shane Steichen. However, an ACL injury cut Jones’ season short.

While Jones was initially expected to miss the start of the upcoming season in order to fully recover from the tear, the quarterback had already asked Steichen’s permission to compete in the mandatory minicamp, per a report.

While Jones’ request ended up getting declined, the Colts quarterback is already on a 7-on-7 program and will be waiting to start 11-on-11 work as he recovers from his ACL tear.
