The 2026 NFL Draft is heating up, and there have been a lot of trade rumors happening left and right. For one thing, the Dallas Cowboys’ propensity to trade away great players should they not be willing to pay more to retain them may be playing out here. There are also some teams looking to dump some stars in exchange for cheaper draft picks, as well as teams just looking for a higher draft pick so that they could look into the future more.
These possible trades could shake up the upcoming NFL draft and maybe change the team’s current situation, from a team getting a young star that could lead them to the Super Bowl via a trade or making things worse by drafting a dud.
3 Possible Trades That Could Shake Up the NFL Draft
George Pickens to Baltimore Ravens
George Pickens is now expected to ask for a much higher salary than his soon-to-expire rookie deal after such a good season with the Cowboys. However, Dallas is notoriously stingy and would rather trade players away should they ask for a much-higher salary than what the team wants.
This could happen to Pickens, as they did to many other players like Micah Parsons. One team that could benefit from this trade is Baltimore, who could use another wide receiver for their superstar quarterback to throw to. It would probably only cost Baltimore a few draft picks to get this done too, and they have two picks in the Top 20 this year.
AJ Brown to New England Patriots
It is no secret that the Philadelphia Eagles are seeking to trade AJ Brown, and they could be asking for some draft spots for this. One team that can afford to give up their draft spots this year would be New England, as the Patriots have a good selection of trade options to present.
Teams Like the Pittsburgh Steelers Trading Up For Ty Simpson
Ty Simpson may be the second-best quarterback in this class, but he may be getting drafted late. Teams such as the Jets and the Steelers might want him but might not use their earlier picks to get him. Instead, they could trade up to get him, with the Steelers getting Aaron Rodgers a nice young backup QB to maybe mentor as his replacement.
