Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s wedding venue has been the talk of the town as the duo’s rumored wedding date of 3rd July, 2026, approaches. At the same time, multiple sources have pointed to the wedding being held in New York’s Madison Square Garden.
During an appearance on the Page Six Radio Show on SiriusXM on Thursday, comedian Kathy Griffin was asked about her thoughts on the same, to which the veteran stand-up artist had a hilarious response:
I’m just gonna say no. No, I’m shutting it down. I’m gonna call the mayor right after this… He’s very approachable, and I’m sure he’s very lovely, and just say, “Hey, quick question. I don’t even live here. Didn’t vote for you. Don’t even live here. I need you to call MSG, and then I need you to call a girl. Her first name is Taylor, and her last name will be Kelce. Right now it’s Swift. And just say these words: ‘I’m shutting it down.'”
Griffin and Swift have crossed paths several times over the years as the 14-time Grammy Award winning superstar has been the target of Griffin’s ‘roasts.’ Griffin has also previously admitted to Swift being her favorite celebrity when it comes to making jokes about them.
While Griffin tries to convince New York mayor Zohran Mamdani to ‘shut down’ the event, Swift and Kelce have both kept the entire operation under wraps, not offering fans any sneak peeks until the potential grand reveal.
Travis Kelce Enjoys Night Out Amid Chiefs Offseason
As the wedding date nears, Kelce was spotted in West Hollywood enjoying a night out with friends and family at a private members-only restaurant named ‘Bird Streets Club.’ According to a report by Page Six, the guest list included brother Jason Kelce, former teammate Ross Travis and comedian Druski.
The group was said to have hung out at the exclusive club, memberships of which cost thousands, for around four hours. The official reason behind the gathering was not revealed.
