“Machine”: Roger Goodell’s BTS Message About Fernando Mendoza Surfaces After NFL Draft

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell didn’t have the greatest experience at the NFL Draft as he walked out to a string of boos from an audience that has had mixed reactions at best towards the NFL supremo.

But perhaps it is the behind the scenes footage that will give fans some belief that Goodell has his heart in the right place and understands what’s best for the sport overall.

Goodell’s softer side and appreciation for talent could be seen in a behind the scenes clip released via ESPN where he’s having a conversation about former Indiana quarterback, Fernando Mendoza.

Mendoza went number one overall after a sensational college football run with the Indiana Hoosiers, ultimately leading the team to the national championship when nobody really gave them a chance at the start of the season.

Goodell can be heard saying: “This kid’s like a machine… He definitely (has all the right answers) but he’s a genuine kid. It’s real.”

Fernando Mendoza Expected to Light Things Up in the NFL

Goodell’s comments are likely echoed by any and all watching Fernando Mendoza. The QB genuinely looks like one of the nicest dudes and a genuine individual with a solid upbringing.

But what matters is how he performs on the pitch, and the Raiders fans can sleep well knowing that Mendoza’s past suggests this could be a very fruitful tenure for one of the most talented players in the country coming out of college.
