The Pro Bowl is here, and once again, the traditional AFC-NFC showdown will be quite different from the simple game on the gridiron this year. While the contest will feature a football-style event, it will be only one of a series of contests determining the winner between the two conferences.
Each competition has a set number of points at stake, akin to a track meet between two schools. Here’s a look at the different games and a quick breakdown of each competition.
Breaking Down 2026 Pro Bowl Events
Passing the Test (3 points)
Quarterbacks will attempt to hit targets in a certain amount of time, and for every trivia question a second teammate gets correct, he will get more time. The winner will get all three points.
Satisfying Catches (3 points)
Players will attempt to catch balls from JUGS machines with switching requirements, such as one-handed catches only or wearing mascot gloves. The winning team gets all three points.
The Big Spike (3 points)
The hardest spike wins, and the winner gets all three points.
Relay Race (1-3 points)
This is a relay race in which players hand off a football instead of a baton. There will be three rounds and each team can get a point in each round.
Helmet Harmony (1-3 points)
Players will be asked questions about their teammates. There are three rounds and the winner of each round gets a point.
Dodgeball (3-6 points)
This is a classic dodgeball match, with the winner of each of the two rounds receiving three points.
Punt Perfect (3 points)
One punter and a non-punter will kick punts into buckets, with some being worth more points than others. The highest score will win the three points.

Tug of War (3 points)
This is a classic Tug of War best-of-three competition.
Flag Football Finale (Total Points Scored In Flag Football + Football Skills Competition)
According to NFL Media, the finale will be a classic seven-on-seven flag football game, with the final scores of both teams added to the scores of the other events. The team with the most total points will be the winner.
