Deion Sanders Jr. Calls Out Shedeur Sanders’ Pro Bowl Critics With Cryptic Message

In one of the biggest surprises of the season, Cleveland Browns QB Shedeur Sanders was named to the AFC Pro Bowl squad over several big names, including Lamar Jackson, Joe Burrow, Trevor Lawrence and even fellow rookie Cam Ward. His selection raised a lot of eyebrows and brought in a storm of criticism from people who did not agree with the choice.

Shedeur Sanders, the son of NFL legend and Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders, initially started out as the third-string quarterback for the Cleveland Browns, eventually ending up as QB1 after a string of trades and injuries. He only played eight games, winning three of his seven starts.

Many felt that he did not do enough to earn that spot and it should have gone to someone else, but big brother Deion Sanders Jr. apparently does not agree with them. The eldest Sanders son took to social media to post a clip from the hit Cartoon Network show “The Boondocks,” wondering why many people are mad that Shedeur got the Pro Bowl AFC spot.

“I started thinking to myself, ‘Man! What did he do to make them n***** mad?!”

In those eight games he played (seven starts), Shedeur Sanders passed for 1,400 yards for seven touchdowns and 10 interceptions, and he had one of the lowest QB rating in the league at 18.9. While this is fine for a rookie who was suddenly thrust into the starter position, many believed that this should not have qualified him to the Pro Bowl.

The youngest Sanders son got the nod after Drake Maye could not play as he was playing in the Super Bowl. He was not in the initial list of alternates but was placed there after several big names such as Bo Nix and Patrick Mahomes suffered season-ending injuries.

Cleveland Analyst Defends Shedeur Sanders and Blasts NFL Decision

Meanwhile, Shedeur Sanders, who is very much loved in Cleveland, still received some mixed reactions for his Pro Bowl pick. Among those with mixed feelings is Cleveland radio host Ken Carmen. During his radio program, The Fan’s “The Ken Carmen Show with Anthony Lima,” he defended Sanders while also criticizing the league for putting the QB in this predicament.

“I think this is totally unfair to Shedeur, and I hate it for him. I absolutely hate it. I know the anti-Shedeur people out there just want him gone,” he said. “You guys know it’s not fair. He can’t say no. You’re doing a solid to the NFL. You can’t turn that down, so you have to go to the Pro Bowl Games.”

He added that everyone is just bickering about the decision and added that the league has put Shedeur Sanders in a dangerous position where he can flop very badly among the best players in the league.
