Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence and his wife Marissa revealed that they are expecting their second child together. The couple made an Instagram post, announcing that they are expecting a baby boy.
It’s a moment of celebration not just for Lawrence and his family but for the entire Jaguars community as well. Marissa’s Instagram post generated comments from fans, friends, and other NFL WAGs.
Jaguars wide receiver Travis Hunter’s wife, Leanna Lenee, commented on the post, “Congrats my love!!!! Yay boys!!!!” Christen Goff also commented, “So so so happy for you guys,” congratulating the couple.
The Jaguars official IG handle and the NFL’s official handle left blue hearts in the comments on Marissa’s post.
Lawrence and Marissa have known each other since fifth grade. They already have a daughter named Shae Lynn, and they will soon become a family of four. They welcomed their first child in January 2025.
“We’re still adjusting,” Lawrence told PEOPLE after the birth of his daughter. “But it’s just been awesome.”
The Jaguars quarterback stated that as new parents, their lives started revolving around their daughter.
“She’s great, I mean, it definitely just changes your perspective; changes how you operate just on a day-to-day basis. The whole day obviously revolves around just one person you’re taking care of now, so it’s just life’s different, but it’s amazing,” he added.
During the interview, Lawrence revealed that their baby was 10 lbs., 2 oz at the time of her birth. He was amazed by how Marissa went through childbirth and managed to recover.
Trevor Lawrence and Marissa Have Known Each Other Since Fifth Grade
During a conversation with PEOPLE at Radio Row in February, Lawrence talked about how long he’s been with his wife. They first met when they were in fifth grade.
“We haven’t necessarily been dating since fifth grade,” he said.
They were briefly together in grade school and then rekindled their relationship during high school. Lawrence and Marissa went to different universities; he went to Clemson University, and Marissa played soccer at Anderson University.
“We’ve seen each other grow up, and I think that’s a really cool thing. And she’s seen the best and worst of me, and she stuck around. I’m thankful for that,” Lawrence said. “Just to have her in my corner, I think, is so important.”
Lawrence said that Marissa helps balance his life and manages everything, allowing him to realize his lifelong dream of being an NFL quarterback.
