“Highly Disappointed”: Patriots Legend Calls Out Tom Brady for Not Backing Mike Vrabel in Super Bowl LX

Tom Brady has done himself no favor by staying neutral in the upcoming Super Bowl matchup, pitting his former team and AFC Champions New England Patriots against the Seattle Seahawks, who defeated the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC title game.

On his podcast, the seven-time Super Bowl champion said he didn’t have a “dog in the fight” for Super Bowl LX. Brady basically said he doesn’t have a winner between the two, but he acknowledged the Patriots’ regime under coach Mike Vrabel.

“I don’t have a dog in the fight in this one,” Brady said on his Let’s Go! podcast. “May the best team win. And in terms of the Patriots, this is a new chapter in New England, and I’m glad everyone’s embraced the Mike Vrabel regime, all the amazing players that have worked so hard to get their club to this position.”

Former Patriots cornerback Asante Samuel, who won two Super Bowls, publicly criticized Brady for taking a neutral stance rather than supporting his former team.

“Tom Brady I am highly I mean highly disappointed in you not rooting for your ex teammate, Mike Vrabel who is about to do something special. I’m going to fye your a** up one of these mornings. Tag Brady let him know I’m on his a**,” Samuel wrote.

This was not the only tweet Samuel posted, as in other tweets, he threatened to expose Brady and gave him 24 hours to respond.

As for Brady, he won six of his seven Super Bowls in his career with the Patriots, as he, along with head coach Bill Belichick, built a dynasty. It’s odd that while most former Patriots are rooting for New England to win Super Bowl LX, Brady gave a diplomatic answer.

Aside from Samuel, former Patriots and two-time Super Bowl champion Vince Wilfork also called out the legendary quarterback.

“That’s bullcrap Tom,” Vilfork said. “If you’re a Patriot for life, you know what it is. Don’t give me that poltical bullcrap.”

Why Tom Brady Gave Diplomatic Answer to Who Will Win Super Bowl Question?

There can be a couple of reasons why Tom Brady didn’t predict a winner.

First, he’s no longer a Patriot. He has joined the Las Vegas Raiders as a minority owner. Moreover, he ended his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he won his career’s last Super Bowl.

Moreover, he has signed a broadcasting deal with FOX and also appears on shows like his Let’s Go! podcast with Jim Gray. As a broadcaster and a public voice, his words hold immense weight and therefore staying neutral allows him to appeal to all fans rather than just one fanbase.
